My Name is "Big"
Every parent gives their child a name with the hope or a deep meaning behind it. Some parents choose names of famous people, while others on how the name sounds.
In my country, "Adi" can mean "big," "first," and "superior." And as the firstborn male child, with a big sister and a younger brother, perhaps my parents hoped my life would be "big."
At 168 cm tall and weight 60 kg (yes this is a metric system so you know where I am from), I wouldn't consider myself "big" by traditional standards, especially compared to any men in other countries. But I do have a "big dream" for my life. I dream of financial freedom, time freedom, and health freedom. I want to live a life free from worry about my health, with enough money to spend, and the time to enjoy it wherever I desire.
This dream won't be easy to achieve. For some, it might seem like a pipe dream or a fairy tale. That's why I've worked hard, learned new skills, and embraced both failures and successes, all to expedite my dream's realization.
For over 20 years, I've been an interior designer. This profession has allowed me to meet a wider variety of people than I ever imagined, which can be quite challenging for an introvert like myself.
Interior design is a multidisciplinary field. It requires knowledge of art, psychology, management, finance, and social skills. On top of that, as a business owners you will also need leadership skills. Twenty years of experience have honed these skills in me.
The Shift from Analog to Digital
I used to rely heavily on manual methods. I drew, planned, and wrote everything by hand. My computer was mainly used for technical drawings. Until three years ago, I discovered advanced design software and became captivated by digital tools.
Now I use digital tools for everything. And Notion has become my best friend.
In Notion, I journal, plan, manage projects, and essentially organize my entire life. The flexibility and customization options are what truly impress me. I believe many others share this appreciation.
But the most incredible discovery within the Notion world has been the community that led me to this newsletter.
Cornerstone is my new family. We are passionate Notion users who love using Notion in our daily lives and even making money with it. In here, we don't just share what we do; we also share what you can do.
